New Apartment

After a lot of searching, we finally found a place to live. It is a small apartment on the west side of Provo near the hospital and Deseret Industries. It has two bedrooms (one of which we will use as an office) two bathrooms, and our favorite part…a dishwasher! We are so excited and have started moving some of our things in already. You don’t realize until you move into an unfurnished apartment how little you really have. We have shared dinner together in our new apartment a few times and we sat on the floor trying not to spill and laughing about our lack of household furniture. Even without a table or couch, we feel so lucky to have a place to live and are excited to start our life together.

We have really enjoyed deciding on color schemes for each of the rooms and working to turn our small apartment into a home. We are thinking that we want our kitchen to be red black, and silver and our bedroom to be a dark chocolate brown and blue. As to the color of our bathrooms, we are still working on that. I suppose we will want them to match the shower curtain we end up buying. The office will likely be home to some of the model planes that Isaac made when he was younger. We have yet to get internet and are looking for a good provider if anyone has any suggestions. It is nice to see our new place slowly coming together and we look forward to living in our first place together.

I remember when we didn't have a couch for over a year! Dad and I would squash ourselves into our one and only lazyboy chair. Great times--looking back on it now! Good luck with finding furniture, but if you have to go without, enjoy the picnics on the floor.

How exciting! My kitchen is totally red. I love it. Ian really loves red. He confessed one day that if he could, every room in the house would be red! LOL! You will probably get some gift cards for your wedding and target has some cute furniture. :) Ian and I have lived in a furnished apartment since we got married so it will be interesting when we move this summer. Love ya.
