Never Too Old to Play Dress-Up

Midnight showings of movies are an adventure of their own kind, an adventure that must be experienced to be understood. The energy level can be felt almost immediately upon entry into the theater, and unlike regular showings, the crowd is very vocal, often cheering, booing, or laughing unusually loud during favorite parts of the show. One of the especially unique things about midnight showings is that it is not at all unusual to arrive in costume...which is exactly what we did. Last night, Isaac and I went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. At the encouraging of Martha and Laura, we decided that we might as well dress up in order to be part of the whole experience. It was a blast. We decided to dress up like Harry and Ginny, complete with wands and even a firebolt broomstick. The movie was incredible and even though we didn't get to bed until around 4 in the morning, we had an amazing time and didn't regret it in the least bit. I was able to get some pictures of Martha, Laura, and Melodie before it got too dark, but don't have any good photos to show of Me and Isaac's amazing costumes... you will just have to imagine.

Okay, definitely not something I've ever experienced! I can't really imagine Dad and I ever dressing up to go to a midnight showing--but that's what I love about you! You are always ready to have fun and you're right. . . like Peter Pan, you definitely fought growing up, and you have never considered yourself too old to still enjoy all the things that brought you joy as a child! Glad you had such a great time. (And congratulations on staying up until 4:00 a.m. and living to tell about it!)

I don't even know what to say. Reeta Skeeter is definitely my fave!
