Isaac and I went and saw Avatar a week ago. After watching the preview a few months back I had absolutely no desire to see it, but alas, when Isaac wanted to see it I just couldn't tell him no. We forked out the money to watch it in 3-D which was definitely worth it because visually, the movie was incredible. I was expecting the 3-D experience to be kind of dumb, with those old glasses where there is one blue lens and one red lens that cause you to become an epileptic, but the glasses were actually not bad. You look like a total dork (for any of you who plan to go see it on a date..just a head's up) but at least they don't give you a headache. So visually the movie was really fun to watch on the big screen and have the whole experience, BUT
the story line was pretty bad. It was a mixture of Pocahontas and Fern Gully with some really awkward scenes of kissing blue people. With that said though, I was surprised how much I liked it. It's all about expectations--if you expect it to be awesome, you might be disappointed. On the other-hand, if you are expecting it to be lame like me, you might find that you enjoyed the experience. I was glad though that we went to see it in theaters, because due to the lame story line, I really don't think that it would be worth watching on our little TV without the 3D.

I was NOT going to see this movie and then Preston and some friends forced it upon me . . . and I seriously loved it! :)
