It has been a busy last couple of months and not surprisingly, our blog has been neglected.
In a quick, spur-of-the-moment decision, Isaac and I decided to leave our beloved apartment and move to Highland to save some money. We had planned to move in with Isaac's parents, but last minute took the offer to live with his sister, Michelle, in their basement. We miss our place, but are so grateful to Michelle and Brian for letting us stay with them for a few months. We were flooded with offers to buy our contract as soon as we placed an add, and we were so happy to find that we didn't have any problems with our landlord or the renters (very much unlike my previous renting experiences). I spent the next week packing and labeling boxes, trying to organize the packing as much as I could in order to save time and effort when the process is repeated in August. I discovered that moving is a whole new experience once you are married. No longer can I just shove all of my belongings into the back of my car. I couldn't believe how much stuff we had acquired over one year of marriage! Isaac agreed to rent a moving truck for us and I couldn't help but laugh when he pulled up in the biggest truck that U haul rents. Our things definitely could have fit in a smaller truck, but not having to play Tetris with boxes and furniture was worth the extra fifteen dollars. At the end of a long day boxing, cleaning, and transferring items, we finished off the day with little Cesar's pizza and hit the sack, completely exhausted. I vowed to not unpack anything so that we wouldn't have to repeat this process, but finally caved and set up our things in our new room. Isaac's new commute to work is a little longer, but he passes the time by listening to conference talks or books on tape. I love having some company during the day, and Isaac loves having someone to play Legos with when he gets home (Heber) and having someone else in the house who shares his love of airplanes (Jack). We are excited for many more adventures this summer to come!

I remember last time we helped you move and Dad was appalled at how much stuff you had in your college apartment-- I'm sure he would agree that Isaac was wise in getting such a large truck if for no other reason than to haul your collection of shoes!
Wait until you have kids. :) Next time you will need 2 of the biggest trucks. :)
Yes, we are the lucky ones to have 2 more adults in the house to entertain the kids! So spoiled. :)
